What are your big plans for Friday, July 1, 2011? Haven’t looked that far ahead? Paramount has.

‘Transformers 2′ hasn’t even arrived yet, but Paramount has penciled ‘Transformers 3′ in for the Fourth of July 2011 weekend. This is, of course, assuming T2 doesn’t completely tank at the box office, but evn a lackluster performance can be made sequel-worthy thanks to all the ancillary merchandising and DVDs.

This announcement comes hot on the heels of Paramount and Marvel shuffling around its future slate of comic book movies. While ‘Iron Man 2′ is still due May 7, 2010, delays have hit the comic publisher’s other properties.

* ‘Thor’ has been bumped about a year, from summer 2010 to June 2011.

* ‘First Avenger: Captain America’ has been pushed back from May 2011 to July.

* ‘The Avengers,’ combining Cap and Iron Man, will then show up May 2012, from its originally-announced 2011 date.
